  • The Project:
  • Plan International Bangladesh has been awarded `Generation Breakthrough` project which aims to increase number of adolescents of 10-19 years in selected districts who will behave in a gender equitable way and make use of Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) information and services. Plan International Bangladesh is using these funds to develop a replicable model for changing gender attitudes of in school adolescents and increase their ASRH knowledge. The project works in 350 school & madrasah in Dhaka, Barisal, Barguna and Patuakhali. It is funded through UNFPA and is implemented in collaboration with the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) of the Ministry of Education
Job Description / Responsibility
    The Technical Specialist-SRHR is responsible to provide technical support in the area of SRHR and gender based violence issue. H/She will monitor the technical aspects of the project and provide necessary feedbacks to partner organizations. H/She will also oversee the adaptation of GEMS curriculum, guideline of SRHR session and its implementation in the school & madrasah. This position will also provide technical feedback in developing media campaign and materials related to GBV & SRHR. This position is also responsible to supervise a team of helpline counsellors and field technical officers having experiences in training on project cycle management, SRHR, gender based violence and capacity building of different stakeholders. The position is based at BCO with at least 40% field travel.

Educational Requirements
    Applicants should have At least postgraduate degree in social science, preferably in public health/international health/global health with specialization in adolescent/sexual reproductive health.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 5 year(s)
Job Requirements
    The ideal candidate should have at least five years direct working experience in adolescent sexual and reproductive health and gender based violence. Experience on Adolescent Friendly Health Services and Comprehensive Sexuality Education implementation is preferred.
