Job Description / Responsibility
  • Feed the Future – Bangladesh Rice and Diversified Crops Activity
  • Project background:
  • CNFA is currently accepting applications for technical experts for an anticipated USAID-funded Feed the Future (FTF) project in Bangladesh. The proposed program will improve food security through systemic changes that increase rural incomes through 1) improving smallholder productivity for rice and other select complementary crops within the rice cropping cycle, and 2) strengthening the competitiveness of market systems for rice and selected crops, while expanding the depth and breadth of benefits.
  • Position summary:
  • The Technical Lead(s) will provide technical leadership for the project’s interventions, including improving smallholder productivity for rice and other complementary cros, strengthening competitiveness of market systems for rice and selected crops, ensuring effective technical support and coordination with relevant staff and external stakeholders, and ensuring effective and timely implementation of work plan.

Educational Requirements
    Masters degree (equivalent) or higher in respective sectoral fields;
Experience Requirements
    At least 8 year(s)
Additional Job Requirements
  • 8 years of relevant experience in managing sectors and/or sub-sectors of agricultural/agribusiness/value chain development interventions;
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and experience in managing teams, experience using adaptive management techniques preferred;
  • Experience relevant to accomplishment of the cross-cutting objectives in a cooperative agreement, including gender, youth and cultural change; and
  • Demonstrated strong writing and oral presentation skills in English
